Rejected for the DTV — what now?
A rejection stays on your record, and embassies see it. Reapplying with the same weak file — even at a different embassy — usually ends the same way, unless the original refusal was a simple personal-information error.
The fix is boring but reliable: identify the real cause (usually unseasoned money, thin category evidence, or the wrong embassy), repair it properly, then file once with a stronger file. Sometimes that means waiting 3 months to build bank history — still faster than a second refusal.
We review rejected cases for free before you spend another baht. Send us your refusal and your documents — we'll tell you honestly whether to refile, switch category, or wait.

Freelancer? Read this before choosing Workcation.
The Workcation category was written for employees: embassies want an employment letter, a contract, payslips and tax records. Freelancers have client contracts, invoices and a portfolio — real work, but harder evidence, and some embassies quietly reject it.
That's why many freelancers use the Soft Power route instead: a 9-month enrollment at a government-certified Muay Thai school is concrete, verifiable evidence that doesn't depend on how an officer reads your client list.
Rule of thumb: airtight employer paperwork → Workcation (our ฿9,000 review is enough). Anything less → the Muay Thai route. Not sure which you are? That's exactly what the free eligibility check is for.

The ฿500,000 rules, without the myths.
The money must sit in a personal savings or checking account in your own name — crypto, investment, pension and business accounts are not accepted, no matter the balance.
Most embassies want 3 months of statement history; strict ones ask for 6. The balance document should be issued within about a week of filing. A lump sum that appeared last month is the single most common reason files get refused.
No savings of your own? Parents, a legal guardian or a spouse can sponsor you — with a sponsorship letter, proof of relationship, the transfer into your account, and their own financial evidence. Done precisely, sponsor files pass; done casually, they don't.
